Richmond Farms was established in 1999. At the time Food-Service was the fastest growing sector of the fresh produce industry and has continued to grow at a phenomenal rate. Food-Service and Wholesale are sectors of the fresh produce industry that will order by brand. We carefully selected growers who we felt would be prepared to maintain the integrity of the brand - quality and continuity are key to this. The Richmond Farms brand is now well established as one of the best-known and respected brands in the UK root crop sector.
In order to gain committed growers, Richmond Farms formed a Grower Group in 2006. The benefits of membership for growers are free agronomy advice, long-term payment deals on seed and a commitment from Richmond to market the whole crop. The Richmond Farms Grower Group now has 22 members and 35,000 tonnes of dedicated crops.
